Tribskin Pick’em, your predictions and ours

Aram and I will go head-to-head in Tribskin Pick’em throughout the season with the loser buying lunch in December.
Last week: Robledo (15-3); Tolegian (16-2)
Season standings: Robledo (144-45); Tolegian (143-44)

Last week: Aram’s hot streak continues and now he trails by just a game after picking up another victory this week. He’s nickel an dimed his way close to the lead, going 16-2 to my 15-3 this past week. He took Amat over Loyola and I took Chino Hills over Damien, which was a wash. We both lost taking South Hills over Ayala, but Aram picked up a game with Nogales’ 8-7 win Northview.
This week: Here we go again? What do you do with Amat, who in all likelihood will not have QB Rio Ruiz for the league finale at Notre Dame, a game in all likelihood they will need to make the playoffs. I still think a steady dose of Moore, Shay on offense, and an improved defense over the past couple weeks will get it done. And don’t sleep on the soph, Koa Haynes, if he takes over at QB. Having a full week to prepare is different than being thrown in during the middle of a game. He will be improved. Damien at Charter Oak? The Spartans blew their chance and the momentum that comes with it last week. They haven’t faced an offense like this, and with Charter Oak at home, kind of hard to pick against them. Bonita was very impressive against Walnut, throwing 50 on the board. The Hacienda is crowded in the chase for the second through fourth playoff spots, and at this point, I like the experienced coaching staff of Bonita to get it done at home against Diamond Bar. Two games that look good on paper but won’t be are El Monte and South El Monte and La Puente at Duarte .. El Monte and La Puente will take care of business, setting up league title games next week against Arroyo and Azusa respectively.
