DBar has played a VERY weak schedule.
    Opponents are a Combined 32-41.
DBar played 1 tough team this year and lost 3-0. Until they schedule some tough competition I will not jump on the bandwagon. Looks like we will see how good they are when they face Bonita!!!!! I seen Beckman play and they would have their way with DBar.

  • hahahaha

These guys won’t even win the Hacienda, let alone a CIF championship. When it comes right down to it, they just won’t beat Bonita. Having said that, Bonita won’t win CIF either, but they will get farter than DB

Diamond Bar and Bonita both have a shot because Omana and Garza are that good. When the playoffs start, your ace can throw game 1 and game 2 because of a usual Friday-Tuesday first and second schedule. It’s usually the quarterfinal where you need your number 2, then the No. 1 can pitch the semifinal and get you to a title game. It almost worked out that way for Bonita last year.

  • you are wrong Fred

it did not almost work that way for Bonita. Garza pitched games 1 and 3, NOT games 1 and 2 as your strategy suggests. McCreery started games 2 and 4. They lost in the semi-finals with their #2 guy on the hill. Knott should have started Murfett in game 3 and saved Garza for game 4 (beckman). He would have McCreery and Murfett for game 5 for the championship had Garza beat Beckman in the semis.

ALMOST! ALMOST! Is Diamond Bar and Bonita playing Baseball or are they playing Horseshoes and Hand Grenades? Almost……

South hills certainly has a good shot with their arms and maybe damien from the sierra league. Glendora won div2 from this league 2 yrs ago. From the baseline league, alta loma is emerging as a real sleeper. Talking about arms such as south hills with their 2 studs and omana from dbar, alta loma has 2 pitchers throwing lights out. Senior Brian conant (csuf) 2-0 14 inn 8 hits 17 ks 1.5 era and senior nolan sheridan (unsigned) 3-1 26 inn 11 hits 29 ks 0.57 era. Etiwanda reached siv2 finals from this league last yr. Want to wish all teams from the area much luck as the second half of the season heats up

Dbar drops from the sierra league into the hacienda, goes from d2 to d3 and boom almost instantly a contender. Anybody following this blog at all the last couple yrs can atest to the beating that coach shibley has taken from dbar parents + fans previous to this yr. I wish them luck but feel that bonita is much more the real deal from this division

This poll is a joke. How are the Champs not ranked number 1? And how is DBar ranked this high?

In regards to BoHi, young team this year but Knott has found some Pitchers to go with Garza. In regards to the offense at least versus Tustin the boys are putting the bat on the ball so it will erupt later in the season. They will be pretty good this season.

Also in regards to Beckman…I had to compare their rosters because I had a double take. Coach Lavalle carries a ton of guys on his Varsity, that’s either because he just has that much more depth or he just likes to have bodies and I’ll go somewhere in the middle.

Remember the bashing DB Coach took in the past.
Now that the cancer is gone it is quiet in Diamond Bar.
Has the Fullerton Coach been thrown under the bus the way she did DB Coach?
