Angels’ lineup is stacked vs. D-Backs, but will they play?

The Angels will have one of their best lineups of the exhibition season today against the Arizona Diamondbacks (12:10 PST):

Trout LF
Kendrick 2B
Pujols DH
Hamilton RF
Trumbo 1B
Callaspo 3B
Bourjos CF
Conger C
Romine SS
(Blanton P)

But will they play at all?

A giant rain cloud is covering the Valley of the Sun. The forecast: “Windy with thundershowers this afternoon following a period of morning rain. High near 60F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.”

It’s the same scene across the Cactus League. The Diamondbacks have a nice indoor facility, Chase Field, but that’s being used by the World Baseball Classic. WBC officials preemptively moved the game between Italy and Canada from Scottsdale to Chase Field yesterday in anticipation of the coming storm.

So, we wait. Stay tuned.
