Dunkin’ Donuts has reached a major milestone…12,000 stores worldwide.

And the 12,000th store is landing right here in the Inland Empire.

The shop, 4922 La Sierra Ave., Riverside, officially opens at 5 a.m. tomorrow (September 20).

The first paying customer in both the drive-thru and walk-up line will receive a $100 gift card. Plus, the first 50 guests to walk through the doors will receive a $5 gift card and reusable Dunkin’ Donuts travel mug.

Throughout the day, customers will also be able to enjoy free samples, giveaways and photo opportunities with the chain’s mascot, Cuppy.

The restaurant’s grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony will include a $500 check presentation to both the Make-A-Wish Foundation Orange County and the Inland Empire and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Redlands-Riverside.

The new location is one of about 300 planned for California over the coming years.

Other Inland Empire locations include Barstow, Upland and Murrieta.
