fansMy thoughts on this weeks CIF boys basketball rankings: That Damien better be good, but not TOO good. If they’re TOO good they could wind up in the Open Division. If they’re TOO good and win the Baseline, they WILL be in the Open Division. If they lose a couple along the way, then yes, they stay in 3AA and win their second championship in three years. Glendora has a shot to guve 1,000-game winner Mike LeDuc another title in 2AA. Bishop Amat is hoping that Cathedral, Cantwell and Alemany all get sent to the Open Division so it can have a shot at the 3A crown. Poor Covina and Workman, they might be in 4AA, but that could be the toughest division of all. Must be no fun knowing you have no shot at postseason fun. I would discuss GIRLS BASKETBALL rankings, but there is no way anyone’s got a shot to do anything.
