It wasn’t pretty but it was a win. UCLA claimed a gritty 17-14 win over BYU on Saturday to move to 2-1 heading into conference play with Stanford on the horizon. The defense allowed just 23 rushing yards (the lowest for the team since 2008), but the offense only gained 50 yards on the ground. Quarterback Josh Rosen was again critical of his performance, saying it was a “step back” from UNLV, despite the fact he passed for 307 yards and two touchdowns.
