It would be really, really easy to congratulate Brandon Beachy for simply making it back to pitch in a major-league game Saturday, but he wasn’t in the mood after the Dodgers lost 7-1 to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Game 25: Suddenly, Clayton Kershaw can’t buy a win if he wanted to.

MILWAUKEE — Monday might be the only game the Dodgers lose among the four they play against the Brewers this week, and it would still sting as much as it does tonight. Clayton Kershaw is still stuck on 99 career wins. On Monday, he dominated for five innings and left with the Dodgers leading in the eighth. Maybe this is on Chris Hatcher, who talked after the game. Kershaw talked after the game too, and certainly seemed to put it on himself. He often does.

Kershaw was methodically boring in his dominance, but the Dodgers were busy on the transactions wire and picking up awards in the morning.
