World Anthem Band headlines concert series

The reggae, R & B and soul outfit World Anthem Band will bring its triple-threat sound to entertain audiences every Saturday in January at the National Orange Show Events Center.

The group, which last performed at the venue on Dec. 18, has starred with artists including Ziggy Marley, Claremont’s Ben Harper, the Innocent Criminals, Lenny Kravitz and Sugar Ray, among others.

“We saw how people reacted to them,” said Alton Garrett, the producer of the show and managing partner of Garrett Management Group. “We thought it was something we needed them to try to do every week.”

There is a possibility the performances will continue at the venue through March and April, Garrett said.

“They’re a great group of young people, a great group of band members. All of the pieces fit together,” he said.
