Dayton, Ohio’s funk act Slave, known for the 1977 song “Slide,” who perform inside the Vibe Night Club at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at the casino.

Tickets are $32.50 for Slave’s performance online and $40 the day of.

Chaka Khan, known for 1984’s “I Feel for You,” will perform at 9 p.m. Jan. 18 with Ray Parker Jr., best known for the 1984 hit “Ghostbusters.”

Tickets for Khan range from $47.75 to $58.25.

The Mary Jane Girls, known for songs like 1985’s “In My House,” will perform on the same night as Khan but at 10:30 p.m. in the nearby night club.

The girls’ tickets are $13.50.

Asia featuring John Payne will perform inside the night club at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 1.

Payne joined Asia in 1991 when original member Geoff Downes invited him. Downes and Payne split in 2006.

Tickets for the rock group are $13.50.

Boyz II Men, who have sold more than 60 million albums and are known for songs like 1995’s “One Sweet Day” with Mariah Carey, will perform at 9 p.m. Feb. 15.

Post-hardcore’s Quicksand reunites at the Glass House in Pomona on Jan. 23

New York City’s post-hardcore act Quicksand, who recently reunited at the June Revelation Records 25th anniversary show at the Glass House will perform at the same Pomona venue on Jan. 23.

Kingston, Pennsylvania’s Title Fight opens for the band, with doors for the show opening at 8 p.m.

Hip-hop artist Murs of the Paid Dues independent hip-hop festival announced a partial lineup for the show on Thursday including Black Hippy, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tech N9ne and De La Soul.

The event will take place March 30 at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino.

Besides headliner Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock), other acts announced were Dom Kennedy, Immortal Technique, Hopsin, Joe Badass and Grouch & Eligh.

Pechanga casino features Jackson Browne, Humperdinck, Styx and Cuneta in 2013

In Temecula, inside the Pechanga Theater at the Pechanga Resort & Casino, legendary folk and country rock artist Jackson Browne will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 1.

Tickets range from $61 for the silver section to $190 for VIP.

Bruce Springsteen inducted Browne into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 and Browne’s 1982 song “Somebody’s Baby,” off the “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” movie soundtrack, might be his most well known.

Other acts in February include Styx at 8 p.m. Feb. 8 and Engelbert Humperdinck at 8 p.m. Feb. 14.

Styx, known for their No. 1 hit in 1979 “Babe” as well as other hits, will have tickets range from $50 in the silver section to $75 for orchestra.

Humperdinck, who’s hits include 1962’s “Release Me” and 1976’s “After the Lovin,’” ranges from $50 silver to $70 for orchestra.

Every Time I Die will headline a show with The Acacia Strain, Vanna, Hundredth and No Bragging Rights on Feb. 16 at the Glass House in Pomona.

The Buffalo, New York hardcore punk band Every Time I Die released their latest album “Ex Lives” in March.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets went on sale Friday and range from $15 to $17.

Recently added at the venue is Jonathan “Yoni” Wolf’s indie rock and hip-hop act Why? that will headline March 7.

Opening for the Berkeley act is Dream Tiger. Tickets are $17 and doors open at 7 p.m.

Suicide Silence Presents Ending Is The Beginning: Mitch Lucker Memorial on Dec. 21

Riverside death metal and metal band Suicide Silence lead singer Mitch Lucker died recently in a motorcycle accident and all proceeds are scheduled to go to Kenadee Lucker’s Education Fund.

Kenadee is Mitch’s daughter.

In a video posted to YouTube on November 30, members of Suicide Silence announced guest singers would perform Mitch’s musical contributions.

Tickets are $36.65 before and $40 the date of show, according to the Fox Theater website at www.foxpomona.com.
