Berlin featuring Terri Nunn and Patty Smyth and Scandal in Riverside Nov. 30

At the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, an 80’s rock concert with Berlin featuring Terri Nunn and Patty Smyth and Scandal are on deck for Friday Nov. 30.

Berlin is known for the 1986 hit “Take My Breath Away” from the movie “Top Gun” while Scandal is known for its 1984 hit “The Warrior.”

The show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. at the center, which is at 3801 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside.

Carrie Underwood and Rock & Worship Road Show headed to Ontario arena

– Some more information has been released about country superstar Carrie Underwood’s performance at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

Underwood, who performed on the ABC American Music Awards, will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 3 at the arena.

Breaux Bridge, Louisiana’s Hunter Hayes will be Underwood’s opening act.

Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m. and ticket prices range from $46 to $66 plus fees. Additionally, $1 from every ticket sold will go to the American Red Cross, according the arena’s website.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday Nov. 30.

Besides Underwood, The Rock & Worship Road Show has set its lineup and will feature Christian rock headliner MercyMe and is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the arena.

Doors open for the show at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10.

Other Christian acts featured are rock’s Jeremy Camp, hip-hop’s Tedashii, rock band Kutless, southern and alternative rock’s Rhett Walker Band, rock mixed with hip-hop band Family Force 5, contemporary rock act Luminate, singer/songwriter Adam Cappa and Tim Timmons.

Glass House in Pomona to feature Moving Units, Emmure and Whitechapel and Curren$y

Some well known hip-hop, indie rock and metalcore acts will soon be performing at the Glass House in Pomona.

– New Orleans hip-hop artist Curren$y, who performed at the Rock the Bells hip-hop festival at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino in 2011, will bring his conversational style to the Glass House.

Curren$y, who actually broke his ankle at the San Bernardino show and missed the next stop in San Francisco, will take the stage on Dec. 8.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets range from $20 to $25.

– Los Angeles’ indie rock and dance punk act Moving Units will headline Dec. 22.

The group performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio in 2011 and doors for their show open at 7 p.m.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday and are $15.

– Queens, New York metalcore act Emmure and Knoxville, Tennessee deathcore band Whitechapel will headline a bill on Jan. 19.

Emmure and White Chapel were on the Vans Warped Tour lineup that made a stop at the Fairplex in Pomona in 2010.

Besides the two warped tour veterans, other acts featured are Unearth, Obey The Brave, The Plot in You.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the show and tickets went on sale Wednesday.

Tickets are $18 to $20.

My column is getting an early start on Veterans Day with the act 4Troops will holding a Veterans Day celebration at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside.
Group members, according to the website, started singing country and pop songs for soldiers overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq but are now out of the service.

Sgt. David Clemo, Capt. Meredith Melcher, Staff Sgt. Ron Henry and Sgt. Daniel Jens donate proceeds to veterans’ charity groups.

* Meanwhile, Fontana hip-hop artist Hit-Boy, originally scheduled for a Nov. 3 concert at the Glass House, has moved his date move to Dec. 21.

Tickets remain $12 to $15 for the artist who helped produce the September 2011 hit “N***** in Paris” for Jay-Z and Kanye West that has sold more than two million digital units.
