Now, in today’s notebook there were no comments from new Warren High coach Gil Jimenez, who spoke with the paper after deadline. There’s a story in today’s paper about this year’s 14th annual Rotary All-Star Baseball Game rosters, which were recently released. Here’s the list in case anyone missed it. The senior-only game is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, at York Field in Whittier at 6 p.m., following the all-star softball game at 3.

Baseball Playoff Correction

I apologize for a bonehead mistake in today’s paper. Both the St. Paul and La Mirada baseball teams are not playing in “Thursday’s quarterfinals” because the quarterfinals are on Friday.

Only softball is on Thursday. I apologize for the inconvenience.
