Against San Jose on Friday night, the Galaxy played nothing like the destroying machine that dismantled New York City FC the previous Sunday. After one of its best defensive performances of the year, the Galaxy back line looked lost at times and conceded yet another early goal in the 1-0 California Clasico loss on Friday. L.A. remains in first place in the Western Conference after the loss, which snapped the team’s four-game winning streak. Here are some links, tweets and videos to wrap up the game:

Galaxy defender Todd Dunivant announced his intentions to retire at the end of the 2015 season Wednesday. The 34-year-old is the club’s longest-tenured player, having rejoined the Galaxy in February 2009, but the final two seasons of his career have been marred by injuries.

“I have given this game all that I can and will step away extremely thankful to have played in MLS for the last 13 seasons,” Dunivant said in a statement. “It has been an honor to represent four great clubs and is extremely special for me be a part of this league as it has continued to develop. I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates and fans, who have offered their constant support and helped make my career a successful one. The Galaxy have played such a meaningful role during my time in MLS and I am happy to finish this season while representing this club.”

From 2009 to 2013, Dunivant averaged almost 30 starts a year in all competitions with the Galaxy. But in 2014, he suffered an abdominal tear early in the season. Then a month after returning, he suffered a torn groin. By the end of the year, he tied a career-low with seven appearances.
