Give a kiss, get a free entrée for Valentine’s Day at Qdoba

On Valentine’s Day, anyone willing to give a kiss to a significant other, a friend or a friendly stranger will receive a free entrée when they purchase of any queso entrée.

Couldn’t be any simpler, or more fun.

The sole remaining Inland Empire Qdoba is at 1902 N. Campus Ave.

Rancho Cucamonga Chronic Tacos celebrating remodel on Saturday

Wee ManIf you ever wanted to chat with Jackass co-conspirator Jason “Wee Man” Acuña while munching on Mexican food, Saturday (February 8) is your day.

From noon to 6 p.m., the Rancho Cucamonga Chronic Tacos, 11920 E. Foothill Blvd., Suite 150, will celebrate its recent remodel and expansion.

The event is also a fundraiser, as the location will donate 15% of sales to the Jesse Rees Foundation, a group focused on fighting childhood cancer.

Pappasito’s Mexican Grill opens in San Bernardino

Pappasito’s Mexican Grill & Seafood has opened in a former Burger King in north San Bernardino.

The restaurant serves up a variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, soups, seafood and combination plates.

We appreciate that breakfast is served all day.

Downtown Upland loses two eateries

In case you missed it, downtown Upland has lost one restaurant, is losing another, but is gaining a third.

Already closed is Aria Restaurant and Lounge, which was owned by the same folks who own Antonino’s Italian Restaurant, Haandi Indian Cuisine, Sixty 6 Sports Bar and Lounge and the Magic Lamp Inn in Rancho Cucamonga.

Facebook fan Diana reports that Charlie’s Red, White and Blue American Deli and Bar is moving into the space at 296 N. Second Ave.

Del Taco brings back free food on Wednesdays

Earlier this year, Del Taco rolled out items on its Buck & Under and New Tastes menus and promoted them by giving them away.

Well, the chain is doing it again!

For the next three Wednesdays (August 28 and September 4 and 11), the chain is giving away items from its Buck & Under menu with any purchase.

Taco Bell releases new Doritos Tacos Locos early

Taco Bell has released the third flavor of its insanely popular Doritos Tacos Locos line into the wild a bit early.

The Fiery Doritos Locos Taco won’t officially be on menu boards until Thursday (August 22), but yesterday the chain posted to its social media accounts that it was already available.

I tried the new taco today for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. The shell isn’t overly spicy (much less so than Flamas Doritos), and the taco gets a good hit of flavor from the lime seasoning on the shell.

In comparison, I thought the Nacho Cheese flavor was overly salty, and the Cool Ranch flavor just left me underwhelmed.
