The people have spoken.
And the people of the Inland Empire have spoken very loudly.
Last month, Wetzel’s Pretzels asked its Facebook fans which stores should have the chain’s new Pizza Bitz — bite-size snacks made with pretzel dough, topped with cheese and pepperoni — before the rest of America.
The people of the Inland Empire responded in full force: Half of the six stores chosen are here!

The annual Dining Out for Life fundraiser for AIDS and HIV support services returns to the Palm Springs area tomorrow (April 24).
More than 40 restaurants are participating this year.
The concept is simple: All you have to do is dine out at any of the participating restaurants on that day. The restaurants donate a portion of your meal — anywhere from a generous 33% to a staggering 75%, depending on the restaurant — to a designated AIDS service organization.
In Palm Springs, that means Desert AIDS Project.

So, whether you’re heading to the outlets or to Morongo Casino and Cabazon is your destination, or you’re heading further east (the Date Festival is on through this weekend), you’ve got another option for food along the way.
