Farrell’s announces Black Friday deals

Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour just announced its Black Friday deals, which include bonus gift cards and a free sundae when you purchase a $25 gift card.

Guests who purchase $25 in gift cards on Friday (November 29) will receive two bonus $5 gift cards (valid January 2 through July 2, 2014, not valid on merchandise, candy store purchases, or alcohol), a $35 total value.

Not only that, but anyone who purchases a gift card on Friday will receive a free sundae coupon…a perfect way to reward yourself a long day of standing in the checkout line.

Suite 106 Cupcakery to open new location Sunday

Suite 106 CupcakerySuite 106 Cupcakery’s new location has been revealed, and it’s just a couple of blocks away from the old one at Victoria Gardens.

It’s in the Victoria Promenade at the corner of Rochester Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.

The two-time Cupcake Wars-winning bakery will open its new location at 1 p.m. on Sunday (December 1).

You can find it at 11920 E. Foothill Blvd., Suite 130.

The first 100 customers will get a free cupcake and gift bag.

Shrimp House returns to the Inland Empire

Last month, reader Lucy emailed us to let us know the Shrimp House — in the San Gabriel Valley (originally El Monte, now Arcadia) since 1960 — was opening a location in Fontana.

I just now decided to Google ‘Shrimp House Fontana’ to follow up and found some Yelp reviews…it’s open!

Aloha, Kealoha’s…hello, Cruiser’s American Grill

Cruisers ChinoKealoha’s Taste of the Islands, which was resurrected in the old Honolulu Harry’s spot in Chino less than two years ago, has sailed off into the Hawaiian sunset.

In its place is Cruiser’s American Grill, featuring burgers, sandwiches, salads and other mainland specialties.

Cruiser’s is celebrating its grand opening today (November 22) through Sunday (November 24). Click the photo above to see some of the grand opening specials.

Another brewery blooms in the desert

Another brewery — La Quinta Brewing Co. — has opened in the Coachella Valley.

You can currently find the brewery’s beers at dozens of area locations, and the tasting room has been open for about a week now, but the brewery will be celebrating its grand opening on Friday (November 22).

The event kicks off at 4 p.m. and is scheduled to last ’til 8 p.m. Guests will get 20% off beer and merchandise.
