Juice It Up! giving away small smoothies this morning

Juice It Up Anniversary FreebieMorning people…today (August 4) is your day!

Make sure you leave a little early so you can stop at Juice It Up! on your way to wherever you’re heading.

That’s because the chain is celebrating its 20th anniversary by giving away small smoothies between 9 and 11 a.m. at participating locations.

Guests can choose either the limited-time California Cooler — made with fresh cucumber, pineapple juice, lemonade, lime sherbet and pineapple — or a Strawberry Wave — a blend of Strawberry juice, non-fat yogurt, banana, and strawberries.

Inland Empire Juice It Up! locations include San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Ontario, Chino, Redlands, Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Eastvale, Riverside, Moreno Valley, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Corona, Hemet, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.

Wienerschnitzel celebrates anniversary with 99¢ hot dogs

Wienerschnitzel anniversaryWienerschnitzel is celebrating its 54th anniversary — Der fun since ’61, right? — tomorrow (July 19), but its the chain’s fans who are getting the presents.

You see, guests can get an original chili, kraut or mustard dog for just 99¢ at participating locations on that day.

While you’re there, you might as well pick up an old-fashioned sundae — the Tastee Freez deal of the day — for just $1.99.

Let’s Dine Out Show’s Grub Club sells out…in a good way

If you were thinking about making reservations for the next Let’s Dine Out Show Grub Club event—  set for September 17 at the Grand Oak Steakhouse in Cherry Valley — you’re too late.

The event was announced in the early part of June and all reservations — more than 100 — were gone in just a couple of weeks.

A second date at the steakhouse was floated as a possibility, but apparently won’t happen.

It appears the next event is being planned for Mantra Indian Cuisine in Corona, a restaurant recently featured on the Let’s Dine Out Show radio program.

To join the Grub Club mailing list and be one of the first to be informed of new events, click here or text GrubClub to 42828.

McDonald’s brings back fried pies, McCafé Social Hour BOGO

McDonald's fried apple pieBe still my pre-myocardial infarction heart…fried pies have returned to Southern California McDonald’s locations!

The ubiquitous burger chain swapped out its fried pies for a more health-conscious baked version back in 1992 (although I remember getting one at the downtown Riverside location years after that, and apparently, they’ve continually been available at the Lakewood Boulevard location in Downey), but now they’re back.

And will be through the end of the year.

The chain is currently offering apple and cherry fried pies.
