Real Mex Restaurants, owners of the El Torito, Chevys Fresh Mex and Acapulco Mexican restaurant chains (among others), recently shuttered 14 of its restaurants, including two here in the Inland Empire.

While we were patiently waiting for Dog Haus to open its third Inland Empire location at 11144 E. Foothill Blvd., Suite 130, in Rancho Cucamonga, zpizza quietly moved into the spot.
Although the specific page from Dog Haus’ website regarding the Rancho Cucamonga site no longer exists, the location (complete with address) is still on Dog Haus’ locations page as “coming soon.”
However, there’s no more room at that address for another eatery. Zpizza — which opens Friday (December 23) — filled the final vacancy.
The Inland Empire’s last remaining Elephant Bar — at Montclair
Plaza Place — closed last month.

Many restaurants — from fast food chains to local independents — are giving bonuses with the purchase of gift cards.
Upland has a new place to hang out and have a burger and a beer (or two).
Wicked Cow Burgers & Brews is celebrating its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today (December 14).
Simply stop by one of our Inland Empire newsrooms and drop off non-perishable food. The donations will be delivered to Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino, which will get the food to people who need it.
Although the new Rock & Brews restaurant at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino has been open for a little while, the eatery is hosting its grand opening tomorrow (December 6) featuring two of its co-owners: Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS.
Fans are welcome to attend the grand opening and meet the rockers during the event.
