Riverside Farrell’s opens tomorrow

We’ve been anticipating this for a while…the Riverside Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour opens at 11 a.m. tomorrow (January 31)!

Many of you (myself included) remember the old Riverside Farrell’s at 10098 Magnolia Ave., which was converted years ago into a Coco’s Bakery Restaurant.

The new location, at 3610 Park Sierra Drive, threatens to put that old location to shame.

Formerly a Black Angus Steakhouse, it’s the largest of the chain at 8,700 square feet.

Limited-time items at McDonald’s: Fish McBites, Shamrock Shakes and $1 lattes and mochas

The McRib may have gone back into the vault, but McDonald’s has plenty to take its place.

First up are a new item, Fish McBites, which are basically the seafood equivalent of Chicken McNuggets.

Fish McBites are available in snack, regular and shareable sizes, as well as being an option for Happy Meals.

Also returning for the umpteenth time is the seasonal Shamrock Shake.

Fish McBites and the Shamrock Shake are available for a limited time.

Two Buck Chuck no more

Trader Joe’s “Two Buck Chuck” no longer exists.

The chain’s famous discount Charles Shaw wines had sold for $1.99 for 11 years, but the retailer recently had to raise the price.

The wine now sells for $2.49.

The new price is still a bargain, but “Two-Fifty Chuck” doesn’t have quite the same ring.

The grocer’s Inland Empire locations in Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Upland, Chino Hills, Claremont, Riverside, Corona, Cathedral City, Palm Desert and La Quinta.
